Sad times.

This week has been long and difficult.

Sadly last weekend one of our 'school yard' mums died suddenly. She left behind three beautiful children and complete disbelief in our school community that something so terrible could happen.

It highlights how important it is to enjoy every minute of your life. Embrace the mundane, getting the children ready for school, doing homework, brushing hair, even the school run.

Tell your children that you love them.

  1. You are absolutely right. Life is so precious and fragile that every moment has to be appreciated. I lost my Sister this suddenly and it is a massive shock to the system. I will pray for those children and your community. Huge hugs and love to you and your community xxx

    1. I can't imagine losing a sibling. When you think about the school yard friends you make, you just assume you'll see them week in week out. For them not to be their is still difficult to take in. Sarah

  2. So sorry for your loss. Things like this really bring you up short and make you re-evaluate just how special and precious the everyday and mundane are. Loving thoughts and wishes to you and to the bereaved family.

    1. We have just started half term, so the constant reminders are not there (no school run). Sarah

    1. I know sad things happen all the time, but sometimes they just seem to happen close to your family and it does make you appreciate what you have. Sarah

  4. That is terribly sad. Two years ago I lost a friend and school mum suddenly. The shock reverberated through the school and community and we all hugged our little ones a little tighter. M x
