Only a week ago . . . . .

Over Christmas my Brother announced that he and his partner had set a date, they had booked to get married on Easter Saturday!!!

They had lots of plans, which included using our Dads car as 'The Wedding Car'

This time last week, my Niece, my Sisters, my Mum and myself became 'Wedding Florists'

Luckily we only had the car to decorate!!!

The Bride looked  beautiful and her bouquet was perfect.

After the church we all followed the wedding car, high up onto the fell to the reception!

The weather was glorious, blue sky and uninterrupted views of the Ribble Valley

Lots of lovely food, great company, lots of laughter, dancing and speeches!!!

We had an amazing time.

My Brother had organised an Irish Kaylee band!!
(Once I've had a glass of wine my ability to tell left from right is reduced even further, so following instructions . . . . . well it wasn't easy)

The sun shone late into the evening. . . .

The wine flowed. . . . .

And the dancing continued late into the night!!

Sadly my little Penny had to stay at home. . . . . I'm sure she would have been well behaved.

Easter Holidays - days out.

We've had some glorious weather over the Easter Holidays.

Its a perfect time to get out and about with a very bouncy puppy!!
(And my very bouncy nieces)

We had a Family walk on the Leeds Liverpool Canal.

Penny likes to get really close to the waters edge.
(Whilst trying to dislodge her harness, which is to stop her pulling on the lead)

And no matter how pretty she looked at the children, no one gave her a lick of there ice creams!!

On another glorious day we visited Lytham

Walking along the sea front we met lots of friendly dogs, which is good for Penny.

Photo taking is very difficult with a dog lead around your wrist.

Down to the end of the jetty, keeping Penny on a short lead.
No jumping off the jetty into the mud today, Thank you!!!

In years gone by a successful day was measured by how tired the children where.
Now its how tired the dog is!! She was exhausted, success.

Drowning in tulle.

We have a family wedding coming up and my Daughter requested a tulle skirt!!

I was unsure how much fabric I would need, so bought plenty!!!
(There's enough left for pink skirts for the whole family)

Sewing with a puppy in the house is difficult.

Lots of waiting for Penny to be asleep or go on a walk.

As the skirt came together my doubts grew, what would she look like? Would it look OK? etc.

We have done some alternative 'Wedding Shopping', so we have a backup outfit.

The skirt was very puffy, so we washed it and my Daughter is happy with it!!

So on Friday night / Saturday morning she will make her choice.
I'm her Mum and I'm bias, she'll look beautiful in whatever she wears.

A sunny trip to the beach. . . .

School holidays always include a trip to the beach.

The sun was glorious, but don't be fooled, it was freezing!!

We had the beach almost all to ourselves.

We walked all the way out to the sea and Penny loved the water.

Dog/child training continues . .. . .

Brock Valley

I have a sewing project, folded up on the sofa that I don't want to start!!

So to avoid looking at it, today we went out.

We visited Brock Valley.

The wild garlic carpets the woodland floor.

Penny enjoyed every minute.

She was keen to take a dip in the stream . . . .
(and take the lead holder with her)

But muddy wet dog for the journey home  . . . . . I don't think so.

As soon as we got home I gave her some lunch,

But the poor dog was so tired she couldn't eat

And shes slept most of the afternoon!!
