Summer Holiday - Snap of the Day (Macro)

Sunday was full of family visits, ironing (before I was crushed under the ironing pile that had built up) and grocery shopping.

In between the busyness of the first week of the Summer Holidays I've been playing with a new toy.

For my Birthday I got a set of clip-on lenses for my mobile phone.

So far its all about 'Macro'

Who knew how quick insects move . . . .

Will you please stay still?

Summer Holiday - Snap of the Day (Flookburgh Steam Gathering)

Had a great day on Saturday.

The sun shone, but due to a week of rain it was very muddy!

I really wanted a small steam engine but my Birthday has gone, so it was a no.

Penny loved the mud and she didn't hesitate to jump up to share the mud around.

Back home and the clothes are in the washing machine and all the boots are scrubbed and are drying outside. Just got to sort out the dog . . . . . .

Summer Holiday - Snap of the Day (Beacon Fell Country Park)

On Friday we took a trip to the local Country Park.

My Daughters friend was keen to take charge of our 'Almost hair-less' dog!

The cloud cover broke and we had some glorious sunshine.

And although its really only a hill, we could see for miles and miles. . . .

Penny enjoyed herself, into every muddy puddle but now shes almost hair-less she looked almost dry and clean when we got back to the car. A definate improvement on the muddy mess she has been in the past.

Back home for pancakes and fruit for lunch, well it is the holidays . . . . .

Summer Holiday - Snap of the Day (Penny's Trim)

Earlier in the week I bought some trimming scissors for the dog.  With some assistance I managed to remove some knots from around her ears but under her 'arms' was beyond my capabilities . . .

So I made her an appointment for a trim!

She really is half the dog we had before.

Summer Holiday - Snap(s) of the Day

The weather forecast for later in the week is mainly wet!

So with the sun shining on Tuesday we definately had to get out.

I decided on a walk/shops combination for our day out.

Kirby Lonsdale - a lovely river walk and some pretty little shops.
(Cool Crafting being my favourite)

My Son couldn't eat his picnic lunch because his tooth was about to fall out and was vocal about his discomfort . . . . . .

Luckily whilst the whining boy and the yappy dog waited outside a shop his tooth fell out.

So all in all a good day, just need to make sure the tooth fairy has some money for later . . . .

Summer Holiday - Snap of the Day

On Monday I spent the morning in and out of the garden. Not really looking, just putting out washing and taking it in. Filling all the washing line space I had !!

Luckily in the afternoon we went out visiting family, spending time drinking tea and chatting away, whilst the sun shone.

Brock Valley

If the sun is shining you really need to get out in it!!!
With my Daughter on her Duke of Edinburgh expedition, it was just the three of us and obviously Penny.
We headed to Brock Valley where everything is so lush and green

Back home and straight in the bath for Penny !!
