Day 6
Today's wild idea was easy.
We head up-to the local country park on the first saturday of the month for Ranger Club.
This month we had a small presentation about Deer, then we went into the woods with our expert to look for signs of deer.
We spotted the fake, life size Roe Deer and some signs that the real thing where not far away!!
We also found lots of pheasant eggs which the crows had had for breakfast!
Nice day by the sounds of it. Pity you never got to see any real deer. I was lucky enough to see some and get a photograph a few months back (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-FsALSL6Wx9w/VTLY4rAXNzI/AAAAAAAABa0/-KY5b8PsxYs/s1600/Deer%2B17%2BApril%2B2015.png), great to see in the wild.
ReplyDeleteLast month at Rangers we did about newts and on route to the pond we saw two deer crossing our path. Then we saw them again as we drove home. I wasn't as lucky as you, I didn't manage to get a photo. Sarah
